How do I get to the page where I can upload an ibook?

Hello.

I am new here. I have an ibook ready to go, but I can't find a way to do it. Where do I begin? Thank you.

I'm glad you asked. No, I did not use iBooks Author. I used Scrivener to write the ms., and I used a firm called BookNook to take my raw copy and turn it into mobi for Kindle and epub for Apple. I have both of these versions on my hard drive.

I sent the mobi version to Kindle with no problem.

I have iTunes Producer downloaded. It is in my "Applications" folder.

I've just made a list of the things I did today in order to get my book published.

1, I sent an email message to Apple explaining my predicament and asking for help. I was told that I "will receive a reply within 48 hours."

2. I went to www.apple.com/itunes/working-itunes/sell-content/books/, and I clicked on a button marked "Get Started." The reply on my screen was "The Apple ID is already being used for an iTunes Connect account that distributes books. Sign in to iTunes Connect with that account to start a new book application for another iTunes Connect account."

3. I clicked on "Continue."

4. I was presented with a lengthy contract document (which I had seen before during earlier attempts to make sense of all this.) It included publisher information, terms of service, etc. I clicked "I have read and agree." I was told "A verification email has been sent to georgegarrigues@me.com." This is an address which I have never used, but I have been told by an Apple rep that it is now my Apple ID and it was "not recommended" that I change it.

5. I received the following email from apple:

We'll be in touch.

A Mac App Store representative will review your request and should send you a personal response within 48 hours. That response will include a record of your request. While you are waiting, you may find this article helpful:

6. That's about it. I'd appreciate some help in getting out of this Apple sauce. It was much easier publishing with Amazon.com. MUCH easier!

Thank you.

More information about my question:

7. iTunes Connect sent me a message stating, in effect: "Application to offer books has been received. Verify e-mail address to request an agreement and deliver your books."

8. I was presented with a "Legal Certification," with an authorization and a lot of other legal stuff, as well as a lengthy number attached to it. I clicked on "Confirm."

9. I was presented with an iTunes Connect screen with my Apple "user name" filled in, and the password therefor already filled in by my Chrome browser, which "remembered" it. I click on the --> button.

10. I was taken to a screen with five images on it. (I have seen this screen before in previous assays into this complicated system). The images are labeled My Books / Sales and Trends / Payments and Finance (or something like that) / Users and Roles / Agreements, Taxes and Banking / Tickets / Resources and Help / and at the very bottom right in small type "Contact Us."

This is where I am now stuck. I still don't know how to upload my book.

That you all.
